La vita e bella!
This week work was great! I managed to select my first associates. 3 Brazilians (Pedro, Diego and Ian) and 4 Peruvians (Gina, Catherina, Aldo and Roberto). Waiting for 7 more last round interviews and 10 more applicants to shortlist. Hopefully in 2008 we will enter with 7 new ACErs, and maybe joining 17 more :-).
Finaly our program page is finalized in side TCS intranet, program is advertised extremely well, everything going smoooooooth as it can be!
2007 is slowly coming to an end…after this almost 6 weeks I feel realy great. Work is going great, moved into new flat, had great time with the other interns…in total….feel extremely happy!
First few weeks I felt quite strage. New environment, new culture, people, was totaly lost in space. Couldn’t recognize myself. I persume that’s normal, life in another country is allways fight with yourself and your beliefs. I was deeply in my comfort zone, and coming in India went far outside it.
As wrote in some previous posts, key thing is awarenes and being open minded. Until I was unaware of the impact of certain factors to my everyday work and life, I was lost. You need to learn fast, be opened to new informations, and challenge everything you knew till then. Ask if you don’t know! (I think I was the biggest pain this past few weeks, asking sometimes the stupidest questions ever :-)).
Now everything is coming on its place. I’m again step by step in new comfort zone, getting into new year with ambition to show what I can really do.
“Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.”
