Serbs conquering Australian Open?
“Wherever you look, it’s all Serbs winning”, said in excitement Jelena Jankovic, after quarterfinals of Rolan Garos, but she can as well say it now, in the semi-finals of Australian Open in Melbourne. Serbian players on the 1st “Grand Slam” in the season, repeated the same result as in Paris, with a great chance to remember this as the best tournament in history of Serbian tennis.

Last night Novak Djokovic won against David Ferrer (Spain) 6:0, 6:3, 7:5, after loosing from him at final “Masters” toru in Shangai, and Ana Ivanovic celebrated her first victory agains four time winner of Wimbledon - Venus Williams 7:6 (7:3), 6:4, so we have again three players in semi-finals!
Our girls played early this morning to get into the finals - Jelena Jankovic against Marija Sharapova (Russia), and Ana Ivanovic against Daniela Hantuhova. Tomorrow morning we will have duel of the titans - Novak Djokovic Vs Roger Federer. Winner will play in the finals against winner of Rafarel Nadal Vs Wilfred Tsonga.
No matter how our players pass in semi-finals, media in Melbourne had enough reasons to open “competition” for a new name of Australian Open. Rember, last summer, their French colleagues gave “Rolan Garosic” as the tournament name, due the great games of our players in the finals.
In France we had only one finalist - Ana Ivanovic. She lost against WTA No 1 Enan (Belgium), who won against Jelena Jankovic. Novak Djokovic lost against Rafaeal Nadal (Spain).
